Measurements & useful equipment

Here’s a handy little guide to recipe measurements* that may be useful!

*Note – these are US measurements.

  • tsp = teaspoon = 5ml
  • tbsp = tablespoon = 15ml
  • 1 cup = 240ml
  • Celsius = (Fahrenheit – 32) x (5/9)
  • Fahrenheit = ((9/5) x Celsius) + 32

You can also use the unit converter on the side of the page. Make sure to use the decimal number as opposed to fractions (e.g. 0.25 instead of 1/4)

Here is a list of kitchen equipment that will help you make lots of amazing food. You don’t necessarily need to have all of it or the best quality available, however you tend to get what you pay for, and if you shop wisely then you’ll get many years of good use.
